As the creative force behind BOULO — a brand renowned for its distinctive design and unwavering craftsmanship — my dedication lies in creating aspirational objects through the art of jewellery making. As a self-taught designer, I’ve spent invaluable time at the heart of the industry — an atelier in the Grand Bazaar, famed for its centuries-old jewellery craftsmanship, where each piece is meticulously handcrafted.

My journey into jewellery began in childhood. Growing up in Turkey, we often visited my mother’s and aunt’s jeweller — spending hours there, switching out stones, bringing old pieces back to life. At home, every time my mother opened her jewellery case, it felt like a small ceremony.

Later in life, after moving to London, jewellery became a way to stay close to where I came from while carving space for who I was becoming. The more I worked with form and design, the more I understood myself. What began as a lifelong fascination with aesthetics and uniqueness evolved into a design practice shaped by instinct, memory, and the textures of my roots.

My goal is to create pieces that feel irresistible — pieces you recognise yourself in, and that maybe, one day, your children will discover with the same quiet excitement. Because in the end, it’s never just about the object — it’s about the feeling it leaves behind.
